It’s over a month ago when I visited Monterey. Looking at that time from a bigger perspective gives a new meaning to this trip.
Today is a good day to post pictures from my short trip to Paris. I’m listening to chilling acoustic songs and preparing tapenade and guacamole (yes, very French), the warm sun is setting, everything seems slower than usual. This is how I always remember Paris. It’s been my 3rd trip there and it’s always about going slow, eating a lot and enjoying the carefree atmosphere. It was the election day when I came to the city, but most of it was as calm as always. I had the pleasure to admire the urban landscape soaked in sunrise from the high hill of Sacré-Cœur Basilica and walk many miles through small alleys. I am deeply in love with the French language and Parisian ambience. Men are handsome and well dressed, cuisine is exquisite, the city is the most beautiful… Should I look for a job there too?
This trip doesn’t need much introduction. Pictures tell it all. I spent a wonderful time on my third trip to San Francisco and finally got the view on every side of this city. No rush, just spontaneous sight seeing, wandering and enjoying California sun.
I had to stop writing the blog for a second (meaning: two months) but only to come back with some new, juicy content and in the meantime work on something bigger. My own book actually. But more on that later.
I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve visited Iceland. So much has happened over this time.
A place of contrasts, nothing and everything next to each other. Plains, highlands, mountains, water in all states and the restless ocean. Calm, peaceful people and wild animals. Sky seems to be richer here as the horizon seems much further than anywhere else.
I only had 4 days to explore the island, but they aren’t my last. I feel a strong connection to this land. I want to get back and leave my footprint, a part me there.
